Creation of the Association of Police Attachés from Latin American in the United States of America

In April 18, 2012, in an act done in the "Casa de Soldado", home to the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), was created the Association of Police Attachés from Latin America in the United States of America (APALA) in order to generate, promote, and strengthen ties of solidarity, friendship, cooperation and support among members of the group and their families through social, cultural, that can generate a comprehensive development.
 
 
Constituting as a relevant instance of integration and exchange of police institutions that comprise this association, as well as to promote the exchange of successful experiences developed by the various police forces in Latin America, in terms of internal security, that allows to optimize efforts in law enforcement authorities. Notably APALA is initially formed by the police attachés of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
