IADB holds workshop on the Cyber Defense Strategy of Brazil

In June 2013, the OAS Resolution AG / RES 2809 (XLIII -O/13) instructed that the IADB, in response to the request of members of the Caribbean Community - CARICON, to conduct a study of the possible components of a cyber defense strategy for the small Island States of the Caribbean.

Following the schedule of activities for the continuation of this study, the Secretariat of the IADB held between 24 and November 26th 2014, the workshop on Cyber ​​Defense Strategy of Brazil, led by the Cyber ​​Defense Centre of the Brazilian Army (CDCiber). Three CDCiber officials attended the workshop, among them, Lieutenant General Paulo Sergio Melo de Carvalho, Head of the Centre.

The workshop not only made ​​it possible to know the strategy used by Brazil in the adoption of its Cyber ​​Defense Policy, but also allowed an exchange of important information for the completion of the task assigned to the IADB.
