TRANSFER OF COMMAND OF THE CHIEF OF GMI-CO

    On April 18, 2012, occurred on the premises of the Escuela de Ingenierosl in Bogota the Transfer of the Chief of the Group of Inter-American Monitors in Colombia (GMI-CO) from Captain Norman Bona do Nascimento (Fusilier Navy) to the Brazilian Army Colonel Ricardo Corrêa Leão. The honor table, in addition to the presence of incoming and outgoing leaders, was composed by the following authorities:

    The ceremony was attended by several civil and military authorities, as well as the families of military members of the group and the fact of transmission of command of the mission was led by Deputy Director of the Inter-American Defense College, Major General Carlos Ivan Weber Rosas.

    The mission of GMI-CO was started in 2005 to monitor the Humanitarian Demining activities developed by the Army of Colombia in the various regions of the country.
