The Inter-American Defense Board, represented by the Director General of the Secretariat, Vice Admiral BENTO COSTA LIMA LEITE DE ALBUQUERQUE JUNIOR and an advisor, attended the coordination meeting of the XII Conference of Defense Ministers of the Americas (CDMA) in the city of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

The meeting aimed to define the support that the Board shall provide the Secretariat Pro Tempore of the XII CDMA in preparing the event. There were various issues discussed concerning the paths to follow, a possible work schedule and the Memorandum of Understanding between the IADB and Trinidad and Tobago, to formalize the aid to be given.

It’s hoped that other meetings happen this year, including the possibility of videoconferencing between the members of the IADB and the Secretariat Pro Tempore of Trinidad and Tobago.
