ESDEGUE Faculty and students visit the IADB

On Wednesday, September 16th, students of the Colombian War College (ESDEGUE) Command and General Staff Course (CEM) visited the Interamerican Defense Board to know the mission and the role of the IADB in security and defense subjects related to the hemisphere. The 34 people delegation included some of the most promising field grade officers in the Colombian armed forces and was led by Brigadier General Luis Fernando Rojas Espinosa. International CEM students from Peru and Brazil joined the group.

Its origins date back to 1909, to promote training for the officers intended to serve Staff, Ministry of War and especially the officers engaged in military education. The ESDEGUE have the mission of prepare military and civilian national and international strategic leaders for the challenges of the National Security and Defense, through interdisciplinary education programs.

After welcome remarks from President of the Council of Delegates of the Inter-American Defense Board, Vice Admiral Gonzalo Ríos Polastri, presented the important role that the IADB holds in the Security and Defense subjects in the hemisphere.
